Inking my thoughts

I love making things better. My leisure time is spent musing over product / interface / information design. And sometimes when considerations overflow, I pen them to save them from getting wasted. Here are tidbits of my thoughts! Hope you find them helpful.

Money strange ways …

April 19th, 2010

The Street

Long time ago … there was a village named RajuNagar where a “Zamindar” named Raju lived.
Raju & his family were greedy, always siphoning other villager’s money & resources into their coffers. As they improvised their greedy ways, whole village followed turning … itself into a chaotic place.
Now everyone was greedy & selfish. Hunger for money drove everyone to do something stupid.
NOW STOP HERE… A QUICK QUIZ!
In this chaos where would Raju & his family keep their money for safety?
ANSWER …
Definitely their “Own House”. Why would they trust someone else?

Car and Components

April 16th, 2010

I was trying to buy a car, and looked through so many different websites.

Every where I visited, I came across new term or new device or accessory which was either part of the car, or you could buy it later.

Then to help myself I created a list of items I had to check. Also, created a simple comparison sheet where I would compare easily two or more cars quickly.

Attached herewith is the file with items & if they are available by default in the car. Also if not available by default in the car model you are looking at, how much more you have to spend to get it.

3idiots: Lyrics … Give me some sunshine

December 30th, 2009

First I loved this movie. And thought of putting lyrics of a song here. :)

All actors including Chatur (esp.) were amazing. Because without him the movie wouldn’t have been what it was.

Lyrics … of the song. Give me some sunshine

Saari umra hum, maar maar ke jee lea
Ik paal to aab hamein, jeeney do jeeney do

Saari umra hum, maar maar ke jee lea
Ik paal to aab hamein, jeeney do jeeney do

Na Ra NaNa NaNa Na NaNa Na NaNa NaRa NaRa NaRa Na

Give me some Sunshine, Give me some Rain
Give me another Chance, I wanna Grow-up once again
Give me some Sunshine, Give me some Rain
Give me another Chance, I wanna Grow-up once again

Kandhon ko kitabon ke bhoj ney jhukaya
Rishwat dena to khud papa ne sikhaya
99% marks laogey to Ghari, waarna Chari
Likh Likh kaar padha hatheli paar alpha beta gaama kaa chala
Concenterated h2s04 ne pura, pura bachapan jalaa daalaa

Bachapan to gaya, jawani bhi gayee
Ik paal to aab hamein, jeeney do jeeney do
Bachapan to gaya, jawani bhi gayee
Ik paal to aab hamein, jeeney do jeeney do

Saari umra hum, maar maar ke jee lea
Ik paal to aab hamein, jeeney do jeeney do

Na Ra NaNa NaNa Na NaNa Na NaNa NaRa NaRa NaRa Na

Give me some Sunshine, Give me some Rain
Give me another Chance, I wanna Grow-up once again
Give me some Sunshine, Give me some Rain
Give me another Chance, I wanna Grow-up once again

World Savings Month

December 6th, 2009

Ohh … by now I have read/heard so much about lending and debt. Please gimme a break and like me … I know you are thinking the same.

Let everything get back to normal. But what is that normal. Some say its going to be a new normal of spending money on debt.

There are even studies which say people would forget about the state when good times return … but do you think forgetting this thing would not allow it to come back again.

What about declaring October as the “World savings Month”. Things happened in September and I read there is a world savings day in September but overshadowed by Halloween (source: Wikipedia).

Let us come together call October as the “World savings Month”. Let us atleast have a month where the world thinks about savings.
